Adweek : George Noory will continue to entertain.
The link for this was sent to me by George Noory himself.
Host of syndicated radio program Coast to Coast AM signs long-term contract extension with Premiere Networks
By Richard Horgan
At the beginning of the week, George Noory celebrated his 67th birthday the only way that makes sense—on-air. One of the hallmarks of the Detroit native’s immensely popular overnight program Coast to Coast AM, which focuses on the paranormal but also occasionally diverts to other topics like politics, personal health and finance, is that he is there for listeners on all major holidays. Including his own. (Noory also typically hosts one Sunday per month.)
Today, Premiere Networks is gifting fans of the program with the best possible news. Noory is on board for at least several more years to come:
“I’m continually amazed by the dedication and passion George has for Coast to Coast AM and his audience,” says Julie Talbott, president of Premiere Networks. “George is the driving force behind the show’s continued success, and we’re proud to extend our partnership.”
Adds Noory: “I first partnered with Premiere Networks to host Coast to Coast AM in 2003, and I’m excited to carry the torch for years to come,” shared Noory. “I want to thank the incredible team at Premiere and my amazing show staff, who have been with me since this remarkable journey started.”Among those calling in overnight June 4 to chat with Noory and wish him continued good health and success were the various co-hosts he counts on to hold down the fort Saturdays and Sundays. Noory’s 1-to-5 a.m. ET program reaches more than three million listeners weekly via an expansive network of stations in the U.S., Canada, Guam and the Virgin Islands. The long-serving, Emmy Award-winning journalist is firmly established as a soothing, even-handed companion for night owls, alternating between studios in St. Louis and Los Angeles. Noory also chats several times a month online with his program’s subscribed “insiders” and appears at live events on weekends across North America.
On the Internet TV side, Noory is up to 264 episodes of his interview program Beyond Belief for the Gaia network, based in Boulder, Co. He has even found time to get into the matchmaking game, tendering to his listeners the free-to-join apps ParanormalDate.com and ConsipracyDate.com.
Once upon a time, Larry King ruled the U.S. late night radio airwaves, welcoming a wide assortment of guests and putting his personality stamp on each late hour. That honor now belongs to Noory, bracketed by the opening sounds of Giorgio Moroder’s “Chase” and the closing music of Cusco’s “Inca Dance.”
