Gary Gygax relative on the phone today . ...

 Oftimes you meet or talk to people about subjects that you NEVER expected to talk about to or have brought up.

I was ordering something from a mail order company in Wisconsin and while were discussing an Ipod clock radio, somehow the subject of Macs and gaming came up and we got into a discussion of gaming when the nice lady I was talking to said that Gary Gygax was her uncle !

I spent hundreds of hours playing D & D and A D & D and when both of these men passed on, I was too sick to mention their passing.

My girlfriend could never understand my interest ( and the gamers who met for 5 years to play A D & D and SPI wargames, but it was a guy thing for us old grognards.

Thanks for Gygax and Arneson and I was very sorry to hear how both of them got screwed over by their partners.

They gave thousands of guys like me a way to pass the time & led to my having and meeting some lifetime friends.
